Our Beliefs
Christ the King Center is a vibrant community of unique ministries united by a common mission to be a resource for spiritual and personal renewal in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit through Christian fellowship, prayer, sacraments, healing, ministry and worship in a setting of vast natural beauty and living faith.
The Center welcomes all individuals, families, groups and churches who respect the Christian values we espouse. As a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, rooted in the Anglican Communion, these Christian values affirm an historical inheritance of the catholic faith including:
- The Triune God as One God in Three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- The full divinity and full humanity of Jesus Christ
- The Saving Work of Christ on the Cross
- The Bodily Resurrection of Christ as the "first fruits" of the new redeemed humanity
- The Gift of the Holy Spirit to those adopted as God's children through faith in Christ
- The Divine Inspiration of Scripture
- Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist as outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace
The foundational statement of Anglican/Episcopal doctrine is contained in The Book of Common Prayer, including the Catholic Creeds, the Catechism, and the Ordinal as well as the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion.
