Credit vs Audit Details
Students who are pursuing a Diploma in Spiritual Direction from the Stanton Institute of Spiritual Theology must take the three required courses for credit plus two additional courses.
- Introduction to Christian Ministry and the Book of common Prayer
- Old Testament
Students who are pursuing a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Episcopal Diocese of Albany must take the three required courses only.
Students taking courses for credit, either via the Stanton Institute Diploma or EDOA Certificate, must fulfill all requirements for attendance, class participation, study, and any course requiremnts such as research papers, exams, or field projects and will receive a letter grade for each course.
Students who choose to audit a class must complete the requirements for attendance, reading and class participation. No written assignements are required, and completed courses will be listed as "audit" on the student's transcript.
